I just read the news story of Vince Flynn’s death and can’t describe how sad I feel. Vince died after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was only 47 and leaves behind a wife and three children in Minnesota.
A master thriller writer, he wrote something like 15 novels based on his franchise character, CIA operative Mitch Rapp. He also was a story consultant and producer for awhile on the “24” TV show with Kiefer Sutherland.
Vince graciously endorsed my first novel, The Last Jihad, back in 2002. We had the chance to meet a few years later at a book launch party for one of his novels at the home of James Carville and Mary Matalin in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
Please join me in praying for his family and friends, that the Lord would show them His comfort and a “peace that passeth all understanding.”
You will be missed, Vince.
